About Us...
We would like to welcome you to the website of the Forest Lodge Hotel. The Thompson family has been in residence at the hotel for over five years now and, during that time, it has undergone a steady transformation both in terms of its appearance and the levels of service on offer. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved and hope that you will enjoy the benefits of all the improvements that have been made.
By way of introductions, all the family is involved in the hotel in one way or another. Nina and Robert have been involved in this trade for some thirteen years and generally work for a couple of days a week and try to help out wherever needed, either in the bar, in the restaurant or else on the reception! This increasingly involves looking after the latest additions to the family!
Ashley, our eldest son, and his wife, Audrey, can usually be seen running around the building. They are both responsible for the ‘day-to-day’ operations and try to ensure that everything runs smoothly, whether that means making sure that our beers are in tip-top condition or ensuring your meal was up to scratch and you enjoyed your stay with us. 
Peter, our youngest son, is one of our chefs and he too is very keen to make sure that our culinary standards are maintained and improved. Prior to getting involved at the hotel, he worked with us at our previous establishment whilst also studying Hotel and Catering Management. He has been, in short, ‘immersed’ in this business!
All that remains is for us to wish you a very pleasant stay. If there is anything that we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please don’t hesitate to ask any one of us.
